Modi called the CBI a symbol of justice and trust on Monday. He also claimed the administration had political will to fight corruption.
PM Modi further noted that delaying the investigation does not assist the innocent.
He said delay favours the accused and the agency should speed up the procedure to international standards.
“Learn from history. Corruption trials have lasted years. Delaying the investigation helps the accused, not the innocent. PM Modi stressed in his address that the procedure must be speedy and meet international standards.
PM Modi said the administration has political will to act.
PM Modi added, “We have a heritage of corruption. After decades of freedom, some promoted corruption.”
Ten years ago, government programs and actions were scrutinized. Now, we debate our trillion-dollar economy, but then we only heard about frauds. They understood the system supported them. “Anger at the system and government increased across the country, resulting in policy gridlock and a stop in development,” he continued.
PM Modi opened the CBI’s new offices in Shillong, Pune, and Nagpur and unveiled the postal tickets, currency, and Twitter account.
“CBI was a premium investigation for 60 years and received numerous awards. PM Modi declared on March 4 that the CBI is a sangrah of SC judgments.
PM Modi said that the 1963-founded CBI has garnered public trust via its efforts and expertise.
When an inquiry is impossible, they seek a CBI probe. Justice and trust are CBI. It won respect, which is difficult,” he remarked.
“Everyone who contributed to CBI in the last 60 years deserves congratulations,” he remarked.
We must also address future issues with past successes. He said the CBI’s “Chintan Shivir” must upgrade and update and learn from the past to discover new solutions.
PM Modi said the CBI has a big duty to build a developed India.
The CBI is investigating several crimes, from bank fraud to wildlife, organized crime to cybercrime.
He said that government corruption kills youth ambitions.
We emphasized confidence in agencies. Therefore, we began black money missions. All government tenders are now transparent. Nowadays, 5G is noticeable. He claimed all government departments now buy under GEM method.
He stated, “Before 2014, we had heard of phone calls. Phone loans were given by banks. We stabilized banking. We caught fugitive economic criminals who stole 22,000 crores from banks. We’ve attached their 20,000 crore properties.”
PM Modi further stated some had created strategies to plunder people for decades. They attacked government programs. A PM had remarked that the central sends 1 and the recipient gets 15 paise. DBT provides advantages now.
He claimed that DBT deleted 2.25 crore fraudulent beneficiaries.
“We know the action being taken against those who are extremely strong and have been in the government and system for long,” Modi added, addressing the opposition parties’ complaints about the central agencies’ witch hunt.
They still rule some states. The agency was attacked. They’ll deflect. Corruption must be eliminated. The nation wants this. “The country, law, and Constitution are with you,” PM Modi remarked.
